We love large boomerangs and longer distance rangs in general. If you like a monster rang with a 50 - 60 meter throwing distance and a low to the ground hover this is a great choice for you. It does require a strong arm but it is just way cool so go for it! Hand crafted in Hamburg, Germany by one of the master crafters in the world, Winfried Gorny. We recommend this boomerang for ages of at least 14 years old and over. NOTE: it requires using more of a sidearm throw than a conventional boomerang. Not really sidearm but you do need to drop down about 1/2 way towards sidearm. We also recommend turning more to the right of the wind than normal. In other words if the wind is at 12 oclock turn to about 3 oclock to throw with a little more layover than a normal boomerang. This is the technique for a large hook type boomerangs like the kilimanjaro and big man. Also, if you do not have a strong arm this boomerang is not for you. For athletic teens and adults only. Remember, maximum spin is very important! Snap that throw! If you can master this boomerang the reward is watching a great flight!

Best boomerang I own

This boomerang has an crazy flight path. It takes a little practice but you can get it to fly 50 yards out while hovering 20 feet of the ground in a perfect circle. Worth every penny.

I've only been throwing boomerangs for 3 months and have used 4 different models including the Big Man which so far is my favorite. I often throw in the middle of a football field which makes it easy to judge distance and the astroturf is easy on the rangs. It often goes out 40 to 45 yards before returning with the right amount of wind. Still unable to get it to come all the way back with no wind but being a newbie, haven't figured the technique yet. Last week the wind cought it and it slammed in to the aluminum bleachers 70+ yards away with a loud "ping!" I was worried I may have broken it but upon retrieval it only had a tiny ding less than a centimeter long which hasn't affected it's performance. It helps to tune the tip of the leading wing up in no or light wind conditions.
Thinking of ordering a lefty to save my right arm as I'm already addicted to the sport!

Awesome Boomerang!

This boomerang has a wide turn which I like. Looks of air time. You have to tune, but once it's tuned, enjoy!!

Wondering why only one side sanded. Paintless side is rough.

Super fun

I got this boomerang for Christmas and it is awesome. It does require a strong through and I have better success when there is also at least a little wind. You do need a wide open space because this thing travels on a wide loop. Would definitely recommend to anyone with at least some boomerang experience (this is my third one).

Tricks and tips.

Just the tip! Throw a riser

Awesome but requires wind and energy.

I'm a beginner boom thrower and this thing has a sick flight path to it! Goes a mile out, low to the ground, and a huge circular flight path. However, I personally believe that it's darn near impossible to get it to fully return without wind. I weigh 170 lbs and am physically fit. I have thrown this as hard as I can with no wind and it doesn't quite make it back. I've even weighted it down.

Thanks so much for the review first! Let us share some tips that might help. The key to a large boomerang like that is usually throwing with just a little more layover ( towards sidearm but not so far that it is sidearm ), throwing with a lot of spin generated kind of with a whip like action, and throwing at least a 45 degree angle off the wind. The first thing I would try though is just bending up the tips a little so it will generate more height on the return. Once you tune it by bending up the tips a little it can make a huge difference in getting a full return. Adding weights will make the return harder generally but it can increase the flight range. Nice round flight

Got this 'rang for my 17 yr old son. Nice round flight with nice stall at the end. Does great in light to medium wind. Awesome paint job.

Works very well after a little bit of tuning. I find it best to throw in no/super light winds with a lot of spin.
