5 Star boomerangs have 5 "wings", each of which helps to generate "lift"( gyroscopic precession technically ), to help make an easily returnable boomerang. Just as an airplane wing generates lift to keep an airplane in the air, a boomerang is thrown sideways so that "lift" is actually pushing the boomerang around back towards you. It's pretty simple if you look at it that way. There is a limit to how many wings are optimal but we've found that 4 wing and 5 wing boomerangs are often better performers than 2 wing boomerangs. Testing this would be a good science experiment right?
The 5 wing is great for kids and teenagers. Fun and easy to get a fun return. For right handed throwers only. 25 - 30 yard flight path.
